Help Co-Design a Community-Informed Research Agenda for Regina
We invite you to participate in a short survey that will help shape a shared, community-informed research agenda focused on building a healthier, safer, and more equitable Regina. This survey is part of a three-round Delphi process and is informed by insights shared during a recent community roundtable.
We are seeking input from a diverse range of voices, including community members, service providers, policymakers, and individuals whose perspectives are often underrepresented in decision-making processes that affect their well-being.
The survey takes only a few minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. Your input will directly inform future research priorities and help ensure that research reflects community-identified needs and values.
Thank you for your time and participation.

What We Do:
We’re bringing people together from different backgrounds and experiences to talk about what makes Regina a healthy and equitable city. Together, we’ll co-design a shared research plan by using open and inclusive conversations like the World Café and Delphi process to agree on the most important areas to focus on for future research and action.

Overall Goal:
To work together to create a shared research plan for building healthier, more inclusive communities and cities. This plan will be guided by community voices, especially the experiences of people who often face barriers or are left out of decisions that affect their health and well-being.

Specific Objectives:
1. Bring People Together To host an in-person, equity-focused gathering that brings together people from many backgrounds, including community members, service providers, policy makers, and those whose voices are often not heard, to discuss what helps or gets in the way of building healthy cities and communities. 2. Set Shared Priorities To work together to identify what matters most for Regina’s healthy cities and communities (including local priorities, knowledge gaps, and lived realities) to guide future research opportunities. 3. Build Strong Partnerships To create connections across different sectors such as municipal government, health, housing, transportation, education, Indigenous and community organizations, so we can work together on shared goals for a healthier, more inclusive Regina. 4. Support and Learn Together To involve students and early-career researchers, especially those from equity-deserving groups, in hands-on learning about community-based research and policy work that supports health and equity. 5. Reflect Divers Perspectives To make sure that everyone’s experiences and identities are respected and represented across gender, race, Indigeneity, ethnicity, disability, class, age, sexual orientation, and migration status, so that the research agenda we co-design truly reflects Regina’s diversity
What We Heard: A Summary
Thirty-nine participants gathered at the University of Regina to collaboratively set priorities for building healthier and more equitable communities. This report summarizes the facilitated discussions among community advocates, government representatives, and youth, which focused on centering the voices of those often excluded from decisions affecting their well-being.
